Some collaborations are inspired by the creatures we love. This one is inspired by the ecosystem that makes life in the ocean possible.

FishPeople and One Ocean came together around a shared belief that healthy oceans begin with healthy reefs. Often called the rainforests of the sea, coral reefs support an extraordinary diversity of marine life, provide shelter and breeding grounds for countless species, and help sustain coastal communities around the world.

Yet these fragile ecosystems are under increasing pressure. Rising ocean temperatures, pollution, and habitat degradation are causing coral bleaching events at an unprecedented scale, threatening the very foundations of marine biodiversity.

As ocean explorer Sylvia Earle reminds us:

"No blue, no green, no coral, no life."

This collection celebrates the beauty, resilience, and importance of coral reef ecosystems while supporting the people working to protect them.

Created in collaboration with One Ocean, a marine conservation organisation founded in Oman, this project highlights the importance of science-based conservation, education, and community engagement. Their team of marine biologists, oceanographers, and environmental specialists works alongside governments, NGOs, educational institutions, and local communities to develop practical solutions for protecting marine species and ecosystems throughout the region.

Together, we share a simple mission: inspire more people to value, understand, and protect the ocean.
